The Yoga Barre is a boutique fitness studio in Gulfport, MS designed to help students embrace a healthy lifestyle. Their unique classes combine yoga practices with ballet training (hence ‘barre’) for work-out intended to emphasize the connection between mind and body. The classes focus on developing strength and flexibility throughout the body, along with breath awareness and mindfulness practices, helping students create a balance between mind and body.

The client was drawn to clean design that utilizes black and white with splashes of color. The final logo mark contrasts the organic, free-motion of yoga with the more structured and pointed discipline of the ballet barre. The pairing is illustrated using free-flowing hand-written type over an abstract splash of energy, centered over a balanced and anchoring sans-serif ‘barre’
