Kayla and Eric traveled all the way from Connecticut to John Boyd Thacher State Park for their engagement session in hopes of some brilliant upstate foliage – and boy New York deliver. This was one of those effortless afternoons that felt more like a reunion with old friends than a photo session. I think my favorite thing about these images is that although we were surrounded by dozens of hikers, tourists, and visitors that day, Kayla and Eric never skipped a beat – the park was our playground and it was such a genuine pleasure to witness their love. Their amazing sense of humor didn’t hurt, either 😉 Counting down the days until we’re reunited for their Altamont wedding!
“Maren was lovely to work with for our engagement session! Her calm, professional demeanor helped us settle right into being our usual, goofy selves without worrying too much about the camera. Her direction was on point, too; my fiance and I often played off of it while adding in some spontaneous moments of our own, which culminated in a really fun creative session together. On top of all of that, our photos look absolutely amazing!”
