Margaret and I first met riding horses in southern Mississippi when I was still in high school, long before I knew I’d become a wedding photographer. I can’t help but think how we both would have reacted if someone had told us as teenagers that one day I’d be photographing *her* wedding, haha, but I’m so happy I did! Two major things she and I have in common, having spent hours riding, cleaning tack, mucking stalls, and schlepping horses to shows together: we love to cut up and have a good time – and we aren’t afraid of getting a little dirty. In true barn-girl fashion, Margaret decided there was no better place to tie the knot than right back at her childhood home surrounded by loved ones, and of course, her handsome groom, Alex. Mix that with a little whiskey, great music, southern comfort food, a good football rivalry, a couple of barn cats, and a group of rowdy airforce boys – you’ve got yourself the perfect Alabama wedding, y’all.
