Like so many couples this year, Katie & Pat were faced with the difficult decision to cancel their ‘big’ wedding due to covid-19. Rather than wait another year to get married at their original venue, these two decided to plan an impromptu elopement right in their beautiful backyard, and man, I am soooo happy they did! I fell in love with their gorgeous spring lake home (decorated with their own original artwork!) and weddings are always better when fur babies get to be involved 😉 Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Katie & Pat tied the knot in an absolutely gorgeous ceremony that truly could not have been more perfect. Since their original venue was on the ocean, they wanted to end the day with some beach portraits, so we headed out to spring lake beach to catch the sunset and OH BOY was it an epic sunset. Beach-goers cheered and congratulated them as soon as we arrived, and even though it wasn’t exactly the wedding day they’d planned for, it was nothing short of magical. I’m so happy I was able to capture it, and these photos are such an amazing reminder that love is not canceled <3
